Looking for the song Handbags & Gladrags with Michael Bolton singing it, from the end of the BBC Office show.?

That version is actually done by the Stereophonics. The song has a really interesting history, there must be like 50 different versions of it. Rod Stewart sang it when he was in the Faces or maybe it was the Small Faces at that point. The Stereophonics do a really great cover of it for the show. Search Stereophonics on altnet.com I think you can buy it there.

i know a song with this title but its by rod stewart;

ever see a blind man cross the road

trying to make the other side

ever see a young girl growing old

trying to make herself a bride

so what becomes of you my love

when they have finally stripped you of

the handbag and gladrags

that your granddad had to sweat so you could buy

once i was a young man

and all i thought i had to do was smile

you are still a young girl

and you bought everything in style

listen

but once you think you're in you're out

cause you dont mean a single thing without

the handbags and gladrags

that your granddad had to sweat so you could buy

sing a song of sixpence for your sake

and take a bottle full with rye

four and twenty blackbirds in a cake

and bake them all in a pie

they told me you missed school today

so what i suggest you just throw them all away

the handbags and the gladrags

that your poor old granddad had to sweat to buy
