What's a nice way to gift wrap handbags to make a good gift presentation?

0

I plan to sell handbags in my site but I don't know how to present them in a way that the client will also like the packaging. (simply wrapping it in a clear plastic bag and shipping it off won't make clients feel special) Ü

they should feel special enough getting one of your bags...don't go too over the top....often, a too-pretty package indicates not much inside. let your merchandise speak the loudest. but, if you want to do something a little extra, hand-write for:_______, enjoy your ______ handbag....later on, you can have your shipping dept. do it for you. :) good luck.

You can put them in a box that fits the bag. I dont really know.

Anyone can put a handbag in box or gift bag. Make the handbag itself the gift presentation. Use matching colorful gift tissue or cellophane paper, beads, large glitter square/shapes (tiny ones would get all in the handbag), small stuffed animals, shiny wrapped candy, matching faux designer logo key chains or other small accessories, fancy feather pens etc. Be creative! People will love the little extras that come with the bags (don't forget to include the extras in your price). You could also make the bag into a gift basket by putting filler tissue in the bottom, placing a stuffed animal or something on top and covering the entire bag with clear cellophane and a bow. Hey! How about a bottle of moderately priced wine or champagne, with pretty silk flowers in the gift basket handbag? I think that would be cool!

put it in a box!!!!!!!!!!!

Surround them in colorful tissue paper and place them in a nice box. I would be satisfied with that packaging if I purchased a bag.

Good luck with your business!

Do you think that contemporary designed woven handbags will sell well online?

0

I'm planning to sell contemporary designed handbags hand woven out of pandanus leaves. Will this sell well online?

As long as they are stylish you shouldn't have a problem, but you have to do lot's of marketing for people to visit your website. Maybe you could give afew away for free to get a buzz started.

Do you have a good place to purchase inexpensive name brand handbags?

1

I love Coach, Dooney, Kate Spade, etc. handbags and I would love to find a place to be able to buy them discounted, even if they are last season's. I buy some on ebay but wondered if there were other places.

Yes, of course! Always check with your nearest outlet malls. Most of them have these retailers and when you catch them going through a good sale, you'll find great deals. Also, try Designersimports.com and if you have a Filene's Basement close by, that's a good place to look too.

you try buy handbags or bag in http://www.hihandbag.com http://answers.yahoo.com/question/accuse_write?qid=20080308193716AArkzDw&kid=BYRQWkXaD0dUWdUdj6wv&s=comm&date=2008-07-04+01%3A43%3A47&.crumb=

If you want to find the best Louis Vuitton handbag selection at the best prices, http://www.europehandbag.com is the right spot. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/accuse_write?qid=20080308193716AArkzDw&kid=EKRPCzL8IlO8FSWOz4Ug&s=comm&date=2009-01-11+19%3A17%3A07&.crumb=

i like target for kathy bags and ebay for others check it out

outlets

maybe marshalls

There is a website where you can actually rent upascale handbags if you want something new regularly. Much cheaper than buying! I dont remember what the website is, but you can Google it.

TJ maxx, oh and on dooney they put their on sale purses under specials on the website it's the very last thing to click on the toolbar. Outlet malls are alot cheaper, i got a COACH tote for 80$ in season, hope this helps.

omg i just got a very cute coach bag origanally 125 for 45 dollars at tj max!!!!! GREAT store

i know a few upscale second-hand shops, they're not the dusty kind & they only accept top quality items...you could try to find one near you

Coach has factory outlets at outlet malls. Check the Coach website.

Dooney has a big sale at its HQ in Norwalk, Connecticut in December and June for some serious discounts (75%).

Look here for Dooney specials:

http://www.dooney.com/OA_HTML/ibeCCtpSctDspRte.jsp?section=10028

I would look up any outlet stores in your area.

bluefly.com runs really good bargins, you need to sift through them though.

I got a great bag long ago at Ross... worth checking if you have one.

If you want to buy those expensive bags, you need to go to a real boutique and pay the really expensive prices. No matter what any seller says, "cheaper" versions of the bags are typically fake. Chances of getting a real authentic coach for cheap is unlikely.

macys. look up for dooney and burke or kathy von zeeland. or something.

i got and ah-dorable coach purse for my bff for her b-day

and we arent all that rich and my dad let me

it was like 30 dollars

although it was used when i got it in i thought it was brand new

hey, well im not very much into famous "makes" for sunglasses, handbags, etc... i know some like dior, gucci, and LV.

does anyone know any other famous and expecive makes.

um u mean designer?

there are tonsssssssssssssssssssssssss.

chanel. louis vuitton. dooney burke. coach. micheal kors. marc jacobs. prada. dior. dolce and gabanna. gucci. versace. burberry. armani. guess. fendi. hermes. balenciaga. mulberry. kooba. miu miu. jimmy choo. vincennes. vera bradley. vera wang. juicy couture. heatherette

But if you looking for alternative designer sunglasses or a replica you can always opt for a cheap version of your favorite brand which offers same style and quality lenses except for brand name logo on it.

Accesorize without a doubt. Gorgeous sunnies and bags, they take their inspiration from the big designers and they have very reasonable high street prices.

What is the best way to store and organize purses/handbags and bags?

0

I have so many purses/handbags and bags in general, and I'm looking for an inexpensive and space efficient way to store them. Right now I have them in a big gray rubbermaid container, but that makes it difficult since I can't see all of them and never know which one I'm looking for. I want to be able to see them all but in an organized manner. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance :o)

hummm... here are some ideas:

hang them in your closet on hangers; just like your clothes. Not enough room in your closet? sort them by color- put smaller bags inside of larger bags matched by color, and then hang them in the closet.

get coat hooks and hang them all along one bed room wall; it could be considered a new & funky way to decorate.

got a shelf above your closet? empty it out and store them there. I think it would look quite tidy; a closet with bags on the top, clothes on the hanger, and shoes in the bottom.

think they'd fit in a shoe organizer? an over-the-door organizer would be great, i think... but i can't find one that will organize bags. here is a shoe one:

http://www.tvoverstocks.com/shoes-away-shoe-organizer.html

here is one that hangs in the closet for sweaters:

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41Dw1xJe41L._AA280_.jpg

or, here are some stackable bins that could be sat anywhere... i have seen something like this at the dollar store; but the ones i saw were white and rubbermaid, but these will give you the idea:

http://www.davisbaconmh.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=131

you may try buy handbags or bags in my site:http://www.hihandbag.com http://answers.yahoo.com/question/accuse_write?qid=20080125042143AAIeeLy&kid=BYRQWkXaD0dUWdUdj6wv&s=comm&date=2008-07-04+01%3A39%3A53&.crumb=

There was and may still be available a hanging organizer for shoes that can be used for purses. It made of plastic and hangs from your closet shelf rod. WalMart carried it. Also, can use either a 3 or 6 shelf book case and just stand them up like books.

they have over the door racks or closet organizers for purses...check walmart or taget, on-line too

Sort them by use, by season and/or by size and then put them in smaller, clear plastic storage bins which you can store on the top shelf of your closet.

If you are still not satisfied that you know exactly which bags are in which container, take a snapshot of each bag and attached the photos to the front of the container, showing you, at-a-glance, exactly which bags are in each container.

0

They're either... (Around $150 each)

Longchamp: http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/2941048/0~2376779~2374605~6011250?mediumthumbnail=Y&origin=category&searchtype=&pbo=6011250&P=1 or

Jon Hart: http://www.jonhartdesign.com/home.php?cat=254

That is the Longchamp "pliage" line.

Go here:

Dooney-Burke or Sak? Dooney can cost up to $500. I have a Sak that cost slightly less than $100. There are so many brands, those may not even be the brands of the ones you are talking about.

Sewing machine for beginner who wants to start designing handbags?

0

I don't know how to sew, but I am learning so I'm a beginner. I want to start designing handbags and am looking for a great beginner sewing machine for a good price (no more than 200 dollars) that will help me to start. Any suggestions?

Website links would be nice.

For most handbag fabrics, you're looking for power, and I can't think of a new $200 machine that will give that to you. You'd be far better off with a good used machine. Be sure, when you're shopping, to bring samples of the sorts of materials you want to sew.

http://www.cet.com/~pennys/faq/smfaq.htm

What I want for beginners in sewing:

- a machine that doesn't scare you

- a machine that isn't balky (cheap new machines are often very

balky or need adjustments often and are rarely repairable --

just too frustrating to learn on!)

- very good straight stitch

- good zigzag (4-5 mm is fine, more than that is gravy)

- a method of making buttonholes that makes sense to you

- adjustable presser foot pressure (which helps some fabric

handling issues)

- accessory presser feet that don't cost an arm and a leg

(machines that use a "short shank foot" typically handle

generic presser feet pretty well. Some brands of machines use

proprietary or very expensive presser feet)

If the budget stretches far enough:

- blindhem and stretch blindhem stitches

- triple zigzag (nice for elastic applications)

- a couple of decorative stitches (you won't use them nearly as

much as you think)

- electronic machine because of the needle position control and

because the stepper motors give you full "punching force" at

slow sewing speeds -- mechanical machines often will stall at

slow speeds.

Please go to the best sewing machine dealers around and ask them

to show you some machines in your price range, *especially* used

machines you can afford. You'll get a far better machine buying

used than new, and a good dealer is worth their weight in sewing

machine needles when you get a machine problem -- often they can

talk you through the problem over the phone. While you're trying

things out, try a couple of machines (sewing only, not combo

sewing-embroidery) over your price limit, just so you can see

what the difference in stitch quality and ease of use might be.

You may find you want to go for the used Cadillac. Or you might

want the new basic Chevy. Might as well try both out.

Suggested reading: John Giordano's The Sewing Machine Book

(especially for used machines), Carol Ahles' Fine Machine Sewing

(especially the first and last few chapters) and Gale Grigg

Hazen's Owner's Guide to Sewing Machines, Sergers and Knitting

Machines. All of these are likely to be available at your public

library.

Used brands I'd particularly look for: Elna, Bernina,

Viking/Husqvarna, Pfaff, Singer (pre 1970), Juki, Toyota

New "bargain brand" I'd probably pick: Janome (who also does

Kenmore).

Our Replica handbags are becoming more and more popular as women around the world try to achieve the latest fashion look without paying thousands of dollars for one designer replica handbag.

Hi, future handbag designer extraordinaire!

The best way to find the machine that is right for you is to go to as many dealers as you can find.

Ask if they have a machine within your budget and do they have sewing lessons.

They will give you a demo and let you try your hand at running the machine.

A brand new machine will come with a manufacturer's warranty and a free "introduction to the machine" lesson. There is normally a charge for any other lessons.

You may get a better machine if you purchase a gently used machine that the dealer knows (sold it and serviced it). It should have a limited warranty from the dealer.

Major brands (Bernina, Husqvarna/Viking, Babylock, Brother & Janome) do not normally advertise their suggested price.

But, some of these companies have certain models that are sold in fabric stores. There is no support, the machines are just merchandise.

You can get the prices on-line for Kenmore (Sears & K-Mart) and Brother models that are sold at (Walmart, Costco and Allbrands). These machines come with the manufacturer's warranty and that's it.

Stay away from any Singer built after 1965 - the company is no longer up to the standard they once held so high.

Best wishes for finding a good machine and for much success in your future business adventure.

PJ

You're going to need a sturdy machine, like the answer above me points out, handbags often involve heavy fabric and lots of layers. Depending on your materials, you may also want to invest in a leather needle and a good zipper foot.

Luckily, $200 is plenty for a good beginner machine. I'm kind of partial to Brother sewing machines personally but you might find another brand has the features you want. Check your local yellow pages for a sewing machine shop. They tend to have better service, and you won't just be standing in the aisle wondering what to get, like you would at Target or a place like that.

If you are going to be doing bags you will probably be using heavier fabric and at times, several layers. I would go with the best basic model you can afford. Start with one that does straight stitching, has a reverse, has zig zag and does buttonholes. Check with your local sewing machine store. Most have good used machines people have used to trade in for new ones.

Great!!

How can I advertise my discount authentic designer handbags to the public without spending any money?

0

Or not spending a lot of money. I have all kinds of authentic handbags that I would like to sell either to individuals or boutiques. I don't want to use ebay or craigslist. Can you help me out?

you can advertise at yahoo and google with free.I have a $100 yahoo advertising coupon and $50 google adword coupon.I give you for free.Increase your product sales with that coupon.i have a $100 face book advertising coupon too.If you want,i sell to you only $5.If you buy it from me,i give you 1 more $100 face book advertising coupon for free.Contact me at my profile or

Well, I would go to a small clothing boutique or even one of those Hallmark small stores and ask the manager if you can have a display to sell your bags and they would get a certain percentage of the sale. You provide the display. Also, go to a consignment shop. Each consignment shop is different so it is best to find the best one with the most shoppers.

I'd love to see what you are selling!!!! I could be a potential customer if your bags are authentic and current in style!

Why don't you want to use ebay? For what you want to do it would be the best option :)

If you want to get more serious, you could design a webpage, put the pictures of all the handbags there and promote the page heavily (you could use e.g. http://adtactics.com/s.php?krzys

or http://www.easyhits4u.com/?ref=krzys and obviously get as many links to it as possible.

I still think that ebay would be the best option for you.
